"Theocharidio" functions as a youth support centre, for people who, as a result of various difficulties, require extra help and psychosocial support.

The "Theocharidio Youth Support Centre" is situated in a house bequeathed to the Diocese of Chania by Constantinos Theocharides, renovated thanks to the kind donation of a Chanian benefactor who used to live in Switzerland. The donation was made through the Swiss charity "Limmat Stiftung". "Theocharidio", located in the heart of Chania, 4 Archontaki Street, was opened in 1999 by His Grace Irenaeus, Bishop of Chania.

The Youth Support Centre has been warmly and comfortably furnished, offering kind welcome hospitality with love and affection. People asking for help are received with sympathy, care, interest and total discretion. Each person is supported for as long as is necessary.

The main functions of the Centre are:

1. Provision of individual and group psychotherapy or counselling
2. Function of a Night Line of telephone support (+3028210-45046)
3. Provision of psychological support on the internet (forum and e-mail. web page www.help-net.gr)

All services of the Theocharidio Centre are free.
